Latest News...

Do you like history, genealogy or “just plain old stuff”? The Kosse Heritage Society is a non-profit organization in Kosse that is working to preserve Kosse’s past and present for the future. Headquartered in the Kosse Heritage House, a wonderful old home that was donated for that purpose, we collect and display photos, old newspapers and memorabilia so others can enjoy the discovery of generations past.

Come and join with us on the 4th Monday night of the month at 6:30 p.m. It doesn’t cost much and you have lots of fun and you can take pride in knowing that you, too, have done something for your descendents, the town and the area.

Memberships begin at only $25.00 and the rewards are great. Come out and see what we are all about. If you have items of interest you would like to share, especially old pictures of people, homes/ buildings/vehicles/wagons etc. please contact us.
For more info call or email Sue Mills (254) 375-2441.

The Heritage House was owned by a Mr. Fred Bradley from Houston, who donated the house to the Heritage House Society in 1979.

The Kosse Heritage House located on Hwy 14 just south of Hwy 7 and Hwy 14 serves as Kosse's museum and as a tribute to the history of our "Little Town with a Big Heart".

The Heritage House is managed by The Kosse Heritage Society, a 501 (3c) exempt organization organized in 1979. The Heritage House is maintained by donations and volunteer work. Annual fundraising events are held each year.

The house features four historical rooms. Over the years many items such as period furniture, photographs, art, and historical documents have been donated to the old home.

The Heritage House also features a "Kosse Hall of Fame" in which local people are commemorated for their great accomplishments and volunteer work in the Kosse community.

A quilting group meets here weekly and volunteers have it open for visitors periodically.
